This is a thin strip of tinfoil. Written in pencil on the reverse of the strip is 'Thin Steel Dropped By Huns To Interfere With Radio Location. Picked Up In Brighton Jan 1944'. Tinfoil strips dropped by German aircraft were used to 'confuse' British radar during air raids, in the Second World War.
