Description: Photographic print relating to HMS King Alfred, a Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officer training establishment based in Hove. The newly constructed Hove Marina complex (later named the King Alfred Leisure Centre) was requisitioned for this purpose at the outbreak of WW2.

This print appears to be a copy from a negative in the collection of the Imperial War Museum (IWM) [A 11370]. That is titled 'New Zealand's High Commissioner visits HMS King Alfred, 20 August 1942.' and is further described as 'Captain J N Pelly, RN, and Mr Jordan watching a march past of the cadet ratings.' It was photographed by Lt F A Davies.
