This is a paper bag from Hanningtons department store, Brighton, which as printed on the bag, was established in 1808. There is a large maroon printed illustration of Hanningtons' department store in the centre of the bag. Surrounding this are four smaller illustrations of popular Brighton scenes, such as the Royal Pavilion and the Palace pier. The paper bag was made between the 1960s-1970s.
