Description (Object or Artwork): This is an official paper programme and souvenir for the celebrations from 6-11 May 1935, to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V. A red lion, rampant gardant, is printed in the centre of the front cover of the programme, wearing the imperial crown. The lion is in the same position as the lion featured as the dexter supporter on the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom. A shield is also printed on the front cover featuring the Brighton Corporation coat of arms and motto, 'In Deo Fidemus', meaning 'In God we trust'. The programme was made in 1935.
