Photograph showing the Providence Chapel in Church Street, Brighton (also known as the Providence Independent Chapel and the Providence Calvinistic Chapel). View north east from near the corner of King Street. The sign of Bread Street is visible on the side of the chapel building. On the opposite corner is the coffee house of George H Jenner at 90 Church Street (active up to 1890). The premises also features the name of 'DANIELS' on the fascia - this is the numismatist James Herbert Daniels whose collection of Sussex coins, tokens, badges, etc. was purchased by Brighton Museum in 1923.
