Description (Object or Artwork): This postcard shows the Indian Chattri Memorial at the Downs in Patcham Nr. Brighton. The memorial is covered with a Union Jack and Indian flag and is taken before the unveiling ceremony, led by H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, Feb 21st 1921. The Chattri was erected in 1921 to honour the contribution made by the Indian Army during the First World War.
