This photographic print shows work on the modernisation of Brighton Aquarium. The photograph was made by the Borough Surveyor's department and shows the scale of the project. Even though metal girders and joists have been erected, some original feaures remain. The pillars visible on the right hand side of the picture were retained for the new Aquarium.
