This is a black and white photographic print of the tunnel beneath Black Rock. It was made by the Borough Surveyor's department as part of a survey of these structures. These tunnels were presumably examined in order to assess structural integrity prior to the construction of a gyratory road above them as part of the development of Brighton Marina. This appears to be a view of a supporting structure at the corner of an entrance arch.
