Summary: Born in 1921, Cécile Edgley lived in Hove throughout the Second World War. She joined the WRNS and was stationed for some time at HMS Vernon. She recounts her memories of wartime Brighton and Hove and her work in the Wrens, and reflects on the effects and attitudes of the time.
