Inscribed in black on the body of the bottle 'Joshua Lees Botanic Brewer Brighton' and inscribed in black on the neck of the bottle is 'No Deposit on this Bottle. Any Person Using, Detaining or Disposing of this Bottle will be Prosecuted.' The bottle has a black metal screw top lid, inscribed 'R. Fry and Co Ltd'. The bottle dates to the nineteenth century.
