This photographic print shows dodgems operating on the West Pier, Brighton. Two of the cars are approaching a corner, facing the camera. This photograph was taken just over a year after the end of the Second World War. During the war the West Pier had been closed to the public, and cut in two to prevent its use as a landing stage by invading German troops.
