Christmas card sent from the Pavilion General Hospital, Brighton, Xmas 1917. The front cover features British and French insignia including the flags of both countries and the words 'With Every Good Wish for a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year From The Pavilion General Hospital, Brighton. Xmas, 1917.' The inside cover features a printed illustration of an injured/bandaged cat sat on a cushion in blue ink with 'DID YOU SAY BLACK CATS FOR LUCK?".' below and signed by the artist. The inside page features a quote from Charles Dickens, a printed illustration of the 'North Gate, Pavilion General Hospital, Brighton' in blue ink and 'With Hearty and Seasonable Greetings' also printed in blue ink. The card is signed from 'George' in pencil. The reverse cover states that the card is 'MADE IN ENGLAND'.
