This photographic print was made by the Borough Surveyor's department. It shows an air raid shelter for St Luke's School, St Luke's Terrace, Brighton. The shelter is still under construction, with only the wooden supports and trench visible. This print was made as part of a record of local air raid shelters. War with Germany had been declared less than two months previously.
