This is a photographic print of a bomb damaged house in an unidentified location in Brighton. The photograph shows clearance work in progress. The first floor of one house has been completely demolished, while the roof is missing from its neighbour. During the Second World War, Brighton suffered numerous air attacks. Over 2000 houses were destroyed and 198 people were killed.
