This black and white photographic print shows an aerial view of Shoreham by Sea, Sussex. It appears to have been produced by the German Air Force during a reconnaissance mission in the Second World War. The photograph is a view north from above the English Channel, and bears several markings in white. These list a number of strategic features. Further information is given in the numerical key in the bottom right of the photograph. The time and position of the shot are indicated by the clock and compass on the left hand side of the photograph.
