A black and white photograph of the North Road Baths taken by the Borough Engineers Department, 9 May 1978. The photograph shows the changing rooms on the left side of the baths. All the changing cubicles appear to have circular mirrors.
Three swimmers can be seen using the swimming pool and to the left of them is a sign saying ' Bathers are strictly forbidden to run round the path of the swimming bath' and 'Shallow End'. Above these and towards the roof space is a circular window with a simple floral motif.
Above the changing rooms, the viewing gallery can be seen with its ornate railings and simple wooden seating. Suspended from the glass roof space is a large net, possibly used for water volleyball.
