This postcard shows the Indian Memorial Gate at the southern end of the Royal Pavilion estate. The Indian Gate was a gift from India to the people of Brighton, to express gratitude for the care offered to the wounded Indian soldiers of World War One. It was unveiled by the Maharaja of Patiala in 1921.
