Print relates to the Pains and Penalties Bill of 1820 through which George IV tried to dissolve his marriage to Caroline of Brunswick and deprive her of her royal titles. The Bill was withdrawn from Parliament in November 1820.
The Queen is on the throne with a woman to either side, one brandishing a sword and holding scales. The other woman holds a mirror through which the sun shines down onto the Queen. At the Queen's feet are eight ministers.
