Description (Object or Artwork): Cricket Match Played Between Sussex & Kent, 1849. Spectators in the foreground, Mr Wisden is at centre foreground dressed in whites at centre behind Mr Napper Senior, Mr Lillywhite Bowling at centre. St Peter's Church can be seen in the distance. Hanover Crescent at left and railway station at right. The print was commisioned in 1843 but not finalised and printed until 1849. It proved a considerable success and was reprinted over many years.
