To the centre left is a small boat in full sail with a white sail; in the centre foreground three men in a rowing boat; to the right a larger boat with a darker sail and to far right another smaller boat of similar hue. This prints has a coat of arms below the print and writing to say the plate is dedicated to J. R. Kemp by J.Bruce In small writing within the border is printed, Published by the artist at No.1 Steine Place and the first tower on the Chain Pier, Brighton.
