Mammoth tusk.
A 250,000 year old beach runs underneath Brighton. The layers above this are rich in ice age fossil animal bone. They were nicknamed the Elephant Beds by famous local palaeontologist, Gideon Mantell, because of the amount of mammoth bone found within them. This mammoth tusk was found 8 feet under the ground on the Stanford Estate.
