This photographic print was made by the Borough Surveyor's department. It shows the inside on an air raid shelter beneath the Dome, Brighton. The two people visible are shelter wardens. This print was made as part of a record of local provisions against air attack. War with Germany had been declared less than three weeks before this picture was taken.
