Presented to the History of Sussex. This shows the hotel to the left of the print with the entrance at the side. A horse and carriage is in right foreground travelling east along Marine Parade. In the background can be seen the tower of Kemp's church, St George's. The Bristol Hotel on Marine Parade, named after the first Marquess of Bristol,was opened in about 1835. Built by the owner , William Hallett who had also built 19 and 20 Sussex Square for the fifith Earl and first Marquess of Bristol.
