Large flags to right,in between these flags a banner with 'Queen Constitution reform printed on it. printed under image ' With a correct representation of the Hustings as it appeared on the Day of nominating the Candidates for the Election of Two members to serve in the first Parliament of Her Most Gracious majesty Queen Victoria' Scene shows the nomination of candidates to serve in the first Parliment of Queen Victoria, taking place on 30 June 1841. Capt Pechell and I. N. Wigney where declared elected on 2 July 1841. The secret ballot was not introduced until 1872.
