Description (Object or Artwork): View from Chain Pier looking West towards Brighton beach and town beyond. To right partial view of tower of chain pier with pulley leaning out over the sea. Centre foreground child's carriage pulled by goat, child riding in the carriage whilst another drives it looking backwards towards small child with hoop to far left. Behind carriage standing figure carrying an oar talking to man in top hat and coat with fur collar.Various other characters fill the foreground including an invalid carriage to right, two women in bonnets leaning over to look at the person in the invalid carriage.
