This view is taken from the west side of Queens Road looking east. It shows a building in the Gothic Style, faced with knapped flint with a Dutch gable and oriel window. The side of Sundial house can be seen to the left of the print and part of the chapel in North Road and the trees of the grave yard to the right. In the foreground are several people on the pavement, a seated woman with a baby on her lap and a man in a top hat pointing down the road, to his right a disabled man with a stick and a young boy behind them. The whole image is within a decorative border, and has plans of the ground and upper storey with a key to all the rooms with their uses under the image. Founded in 1809 and rebuilt in1849 the dispensary stood on the corner of Queen's Road and North Road, and was designed by Herbert Williams. The building continued as a dispensary until 1930 when it was converted into offices, after that it had many uses finally being demolished for the erection of new offices.
