This view of the Belvedere is from the gardens. To the right can be seen the houses in Montpelier Road and the steeple of Christchurch. In the distance the steam packet is out at sea. The house is now a hotel, Park Royal at 66 Montpelier Road. Belvedere Terrace was built in 1852 for Mary Wagner, sister of Rev. Henry Wagner, on her land at the rear of the house seen here.
