Description (Object or Artwork): Royal Circus and Ampitheatre, including Billiards, Riding School and a coffee house. A flying horse on the roof. The building stood roughly in the area of 36 Grand Parade opened in 1808 by a Mr Saunders. It was not sucessful, however, and closed in 1812 but is commemorated by Circus Street at the rear.
