Lawrance Esq. RA Dedicated to the Independent Electors of the Borough of Lewes, By their obliged Humble Servant. Thomas Illman'. Kemp was born in 1782 in Lewes, his father was MP for Lewes. He owned the house known as the 'Temple' in Montpelier Road and is the orginator of Kemp Town.
