This case of two mounted Buzzards shows the specimens in a setting that is a recreation of their natural surroundings.
The birds with their nest and eggs were obtained by Edward Thomas Booth in the west of Ross-shire, Scotland, in May, 1868. They are illustrated in his {i}Rough Notes{/i} (London, R.H. Porter and Dulau & Co., 1881-1887, vol. 1., Plate 8).
