This case containing one mounted Greater Yellowslegs shows the specimen in a setting that is a recreation of its natural surroundings.
The bird was collected by J Saunders between Rye and Winchelsea, Sussex, in October 1915. It was then collected by John Bruce Nichols, and came to the Booth Museum after his death. by Mr. H. W. It was examined by Ford Lindsay, as recorded by him in {i}British Birds{/i} (Vol. 9., p. 213). See also 2 {i}Witherby's Handbook{/i} (Vol. 2., p. 624).
