A three-part sculpture demonstrating throwing clay or potters at work. A wheelboy turns the potter's wheel, the benchboy at the centre wedges the clay. Coloured, salt-glazed stoneware. Made by the Martin Brothers, Southall, c1880. Part of the 'Professions and Trades' theme in the Willett Collection.
