Pearlware, enamelled and gilt. Decorated on one side between looped chains and groups of arms, masks and musical instruments, an unidentified grisaille portrait plaque (and the monogram 'TF'). On the other, a shield with a tiny cityscape and distinctive church spires. At the base of each handle inscribed in gilt, 'HW' and '1979 Lichfield'. Made in Staffordshire, 1797.
