Description:

Enamelled pearlware. Entitled 'St Phillip', the figure wears a slouch hat and loose clothing including trousers. Stands on a neoclassical plinth similar to that supporting the figure of Benjamin Franklin (451). Made by the Wood factory, Staffordshire, c1790. Part of the Scriptures theme in the Willett Collection of Popular Pottery.
