It has a substantial stone chimney with a small dormer storey, the thatch extends partially round the building on wooden supports and the building is of stone with lattice windows, to the right is a woman carrying a basket and holding the hand of a small boy. Inscribed on back: Edward Penny, from his affectionate sister Mary, April 9th 1858.
