This magic lantern slide shows the Royal Pavilion estate during its use as an Indian Military Hospital during World War One. It was probably produced by Henry Roberts, the Director of the Pavilion, to illustrate later lectures on the subject. The image shows wounded Indian soldiers recuperating in the Dome. The auditorium of this building was converted into a large hospital ward.
