This postcard shows The Hairdressing Competition, a sporting event held in The Pavilion Gardens, Brighton during its time as a hospital for legless soldiers. The Royal Pavilion, Dome and Corn Exchange acted as a military hospital for wounded Indian soldiers from December 1914 until early 1916.
