Broken amber casket, German or Polish, late 17th Century. The box and lid are made up of different hued sections of transparent and opaque amber. The box is also decorated with bone and has two drawers. The lid is decorated with a headless bone figure of a woman. This box is very similar to one made in the workshop of Michael Redlin, in Poland (in Museum Zamkowe, Malbork)
