This Christmas card which is used is made of card. Both the front and the back of the card take the form of ornate picture frames coloured in pale green and gold. On the front of the card the frame displays a sprig of mistletoe, and reads 'A Happy'/Christams'/ On the reverse of the card the frame displays a sprif of holly. Inside left the card displays a poem by Eliza Cook which reads 'Once again, once again,/Christmas wreaths are twining'/Once again, once again,/Mistletoe is shining'/Once again, Once again,/Let holly crown each portal,/And echo round the welcome sound'/Goodwill and peace to mortal. The greeting is signed in pen and reads 'To Harry & Clare from George and Margart 1941. The opposite side of the card reads 'A joyful Christmas (printed).
