Description: Two arms are seen upraised from the tomb in the lower left part of the painting, while the figure of Christ stands above, head on one side, looking upward. Martha and Mary are to the right, one drawing up the long winding sheet, the other looking on open mouthed, a marvelling male figure beside her. Other figures are dimly suggested behind. A bank with plants appears in the right foreground; the background is dark.
