A kanga, printed cotton textile piece. Woman's wrapper, one would be worn around the lower half of the body the other around the top half of the body, worn as a pair. Black border,with white circles containing red and green 'venus' female gender symbols, white background, red and green flower and leaf designs, central panel with black grid containing green doves with 'venus' female gender motifs and red spots. Slogan reads 'UN Decade for Women Conference July 1985, Nairobi/Kenya.' Manufacturers details located front right hand bottom corner 'No.RR15736, logo, Rivitex Eldoret made in Kenya'. Collected as part of the Fashioning Africa project.
