Description: Enamelled creamware with moulded rim, its entwined handle has complex floral terminals. Inscribed for George Richardson, painted with a huntsman carrying a rifle, a powder flask hanging from his belt. his black dog leaps before him as they pass a chinoiserie fence and large chrysanthemum bushes while red birds fly overhead. Made in Leeds, Yorkshire, 1771. Part of the Field Sports theme in the Willett Collection of Popular Pottery.
